The Most Important Things To Do As An Entrepreneur in 2023

During Q1 alone in 2022, from January to March, there were 1.45 million new business applications in the US. That’s a lot of people that have the entrepreneurial spirit! What they don’t tell you sometimes when you’re an entrepreneur, whether this is your first year or your 10th…

Being an entrepreneur can feel like a lonely & exhausting journey, but it doesn’t have to be. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed & lonely throughout your journey as a small business owner…here are 3 actionable steps you can take today to work on this.

Join a Facebook Group for Your Industry

Find a community of small business owners within your town or city.

Facebook now makes it super easy to search for communities within your community, but online. I encourage you to do a quick search on Facebook for, “entrepreneurs in Atlanta (or whichever city you’re from) or “small business owners in Boston” ––you can even get more industry-specific, “people in tech in Boston.”

You’ll find that there are already existing groups, and if there isn’t one––usually towns or neighborhoods will have their own groups, you can use that group to make a quick post and ask if there’s anyone else within your community that’s in marketing, sales, or whatever your industry is.

Get a Membership at a Co-working Space

A lot of us are getting past the honeymoon stage when it comes to our relationship with remote work. It was super exciting, new, and allowed for so many flexibilities. It worked for a while, and maybe it is still working to an extent. Fast forward almost two years later, and I know there are some of you out there that are realizing you may need more human interaction, a change of scenery, or even just a slight commute to make you feel like you did something in your day.

If you’re a woman here in Atlanta, I highly recommend The Lola. It is an Atlanta-based womxn's club and digital platform. Not only is their space picture worthy but it’s the perfect environment for productivity AND community.

Join a Networking Group

If a co-working space isn’t for you, but you still want that community feel, there are a lot of places that have small business owner networking or community memberships. For example, if you’re a women entrepreneur in Tampa, Florida you can join Babe Crafted and get access to events that range anywhere from networking, holiday parties, self-care activities and more!

Hire Someone like Me!

I act as a sounding board and create a safe space for my clients. As a small business owner, it’s helpful to have a strategic partner on your side that may see something that you are unable to see. Sometimes you’re so involved in your business with the day-to-day work that you can’t see the real issues or bottlenecks.

That’s where I come in. I work with you to help determine what the gaps are, provide clarity, establish priorities and crush your business goals. Whether you’re looking for leadership advice, remote/hybrid team support, or a human resources coach… I’m your gal.

Cheers to working well...together!
