Marketing & Accent by Hope

Esperanza has a passion for digital storytelling & art.

Accents By Hope provides custom thoughtful art gifts that are both modern and minimalistic, she just launched her custom skyline collection.

Marketing By Hope is the Social Media Management, Strategy & Content Creation arm of her business. It is for small businesses, start-ups, nonprofits & entrepreneurs.

The days of you worrying about social media & where to buy a thoughtful art piece are over.

If you wanted someone to walk away with one major takeaway about what your business is, what would it be?

For Marketing By Hope, I love helping small businesses tell their digital story through social media. At the end of the day, that's what it is...digital storytelling.

You and your brand have a story, it's my job to get that story to those who can relate to it, that want to follow along your journey and hopefully be a part of it. All the other moving parts revolving around social media, just help me relay the story in different ways.

I am grateful to have clients ranging anywhere from authors, coaches, lawyers, to real estate agents & e-commerce brands. These small businesses need to focus on other things besides social media, so they leave all the social media aspects to me.

For Accents By Hope, it’s a way where I can also create a digital story…but through the form of art. Picking out art, is something most people struggle with. You never know what will go well with the room you want the art to go in, Accents will give you an art piece that not only can go into any room but it will be thoughtful and unique to you. The skyline collection was inspired by my move from Boston to Tampa, I wanted both skylines in the same canvas and I couldn’t find any out there…then I thought to myself, “I’m an artist, I’ll just create one myself.”

Did you ever think you would be an entrepreneur?

Part of me wants to say that deep down I knew that I would be an entrepreneur but very very deep down, deep enough where I really had to unpack a lot of layers in my life to get back to that feeling. I recently listened to a podcast with Michael Dell, the founder of Dell. He said, "entrepreneur is becoming a sort of a trendy buzzword, but you have to make sure you're being an entrepreneur not an opporteneur." Are you truly taking risks or are you trying to make the most out of the latest trend? I grew up with the taste of both worlds, and by both worlds, I mean...working hard and being patient to get what you work for while transitioning into the world of instant gratification. I think a delicate balance of the two has helped me unpack and evolve who it is that I truly want to be amongst all the noise in the world.

What's your favorite part of being an entrepreneur?

The flexibility but also the challenges that you take on every day. It keeps me on my toes! I'm all about growth and my business truly makes sure that I'm constantly growing.

What's your least favorite part of being an entrepreneur?

The unknown, it can be challenging at times constantly not knowing what will happen tomorrow or next month...that and the finances, they're intimidating but essential to your business.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an entrepreneur?

Not every day is rainbows, butterflies, and flexibility. It's a constant balance between you staying true to who you are while trying to grow your business as much as possible. Sometimes it feels like every day is a risk, but I wouldn't trade that jump I made 3 years ago for anything. My advice is always to take time to reflect as an entrepreneur. Not only will it help keep you in the moment, but it will ground you as you and your business start to grow.
